State Opera – Imperial Palace – Riding School – Court Theatre – St. Stephen’s Cathedral

Magnificent buildings and squares, splendid gardens and the very special flair of the imperial city: We explore the inner city following the tracks of the Habsburgs.

We will visit the former Court Opera (now State Opera), the Albertina Square, the huge complex of the Hofburg (Imperial Palace) with its many different architectural styles, Michaeler Square, the Augustiner church, Joseph’s Square, the world famous Spanish Riding School, Heldenplatz (Heroes’ Square), Volksgarten (Public Garden), Burgtheater (Court Theatre), memorial of Empress Elisabeth, baroque palaces, quiet places and the “Golden U” of the lively pedestrian zone and, of course, St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the landmark in the very heart of the city.
