Stift Heiligenkreuz - Mayerling – Baden In the course of this guided tour, we visit the famous monastery Stift Heiligenkreuz, take a trip to Mayerling, a small historic town, and enjoy our ride through the Wienerwald, the green lung of Vienna. After a guided walk through the imperial town and health resort Baden we go back to our starting point – taking the wine road of the spa region Gumpoldskirchen.

NORTHERN WIENERWALD

Klosterneuburg - Leopoldsberg - Kahlenberg - Grinzing We go to Klosterneuburg and visit the baroque monastery Kosterneuburg, an important building in Austrian history. In the course of this guided tour we see the Austrian archducal hat (crown), learn a lot about the Babenbergers (founders of Austria), “Fasslrutsch'n” (sliding down a barrel) and more than 900 years of monastery winery Klosterneuburg and the oldest wineries in the world. Wine tasting is possible. Serpentine roads we lead us to Leopoldsberg and Kahlenberg (wonderful view over Vienna). Through the famous “Heurigen” village Grinzing we will return to the city.

WACHAU WITH KREMS - MELK - GÖTTWEIG A trip to the Wachau (UNESCO World Cultural Heritage) is a scenic and culinary treat for every gourmet and wine lover. Cities like Krems and Melk and various small, charming places invite you to linger. I can offer guided tours to almost all places. The world-famous baroque monasteries Stift Melk and Stift Göttweig can be integrated as part of any guided tour. Visiting a traditional Austrian wine tavern (“Heuriger”) or a wine cellar is certainly a highlight of this tour.
